American Football Releases Year One Demos E.P.

Since reuniting, American Football has come fairly full circle as a band. Their latest release has them feeling out age and adulthood with ease while giving fans some tracks they can really find joy in. Now marking their twentieth anniversary of their landmark debut, they’ve released Year One Demos to commemorate the period while announcing some anniversary sets in Chicago.

The songs that were recorded in 1997, show a band gearing up for what was eventually to be a well regarded career in music. While they were never meant to be a professional band, the songs here show a group working towards their debut album that blew up well after the members went their separate ways. The depth of songwriting ability on the opener “Five Silent Miles” alone should make any fan happy these tracks were unearthed.

The EP is available to stream above or on all platforms and it can be purchased digitally from all music outlets. It can also be purchased digitally from Polyvinyl Records. American Football will appear at Schubas Tavern in Chicago, IL for three nights. Tickets for the shows December 29 through December 31 can be located here
