Travis Scott is sitting atop an epic year. With his massive amount of streams, another sold out festival and plenty of energy heading into the new year, he never seems to slow down. Now at the end of this year he’s just released his JACKBOYS album, and it’s a trip. To follow the compilation release, Scott has also released a video to introduce you to the concept as well as a video for the song “Gang Gang.”
The short film opens with Scott and a woman in an arcade playing games before Scott gets chased by the cops. There’s also shots of other members of the group, alongside violence that seems more random than anything else. In many ways that side of the short clip doesn’t really make sense.
The video for “Gang Gang” picks up where the short film ends. Scott himself shows up for the video taking place in a junkyard. With multiple street rods Scott appears in the Tesla truck before hopping on an ATV. The track bangs and pops with features from the collective and Sheck Wes.
The compilation features some eclectic jams from Scott and crew. With the cover art by Harmony Korine, the release features Young Thug, Offset, Quavo, Pop Smoke, and Don Toliver. The first studio album to be released through Scott’s Cactus Jack label, the seven tracks within show a more wild side to what Scott has released in the past. Definite bangers include “Gang Gang,” “Had Enough” and “Gatti.” The album also features a remix of the Travis Scott track “Highest In The Room.”
The videos can be viewed above or on YouTube. The JACKBOYS album is available to stream on all platforms or purchase digitally from all outlets. It can also be purchased digitally and physically in bundles from Travis Scott’s web store. Travis Scott is set to appear at Lollapalooza Chile in Santiago, Chile on March 27 through 29 and at Lollapalooza Brazil in Sao Paluo, Brazil on April 03 through 05.
