With the new year comes new music and first up in terms of albums will be Everything Else Has Gone Wrong from Bombay Bicycle Club. The band’s fifth album due next week has plenty of gems in store for longtime fans, and the John Congleton produced album should have surprises as well. Now the band has dropped the final pre-release single with “I Can Hardly Speak,” and its upbeat nature should make anyone who hears it happy.

The song has a very up and catchy tone. The way the vocals come in have a very joyous note that pulls you in before the chorus comes in and sticks in your head. The hooks are pretty endless here, the builds are solid with extra instrumentation and the band offers pop tinged alternative sounds with ease. Though the song’s lyrics aren’t as happy, the sound of the track complete with falsetto vocals is hard to dislike.
