Worriers Announce New Album & Release Lead Single

Over the years you can catch bands that blow you away, or you can hear about one that you need to see. Both of those examples is where I’d place Brooklyn’s Worriers. The four piece has always had that energy that mixed catchy melody with punk aesthetic. With a new album You or Someone You Know set for release in March, the band’s first single “PWR CPLE” is pretty hard not to love.

The song has an eighties rock opening, but it sounds far from dated. The push and pull between catchy punk notes and powerful vocals work together in tandem here, creating a sound that’s catchy but not weak. The fuzz of the guitar between the howl of the vocals gives way to powerful leads and thunderous drums where the build pays off like an explosion. The end result is magical with backing vocals and a stride that sticks in your head well after the first time you hear the song.

“PWR CPLE” can be streamed on all streaming services or purchased digitally in all online music stores. You or Someone You Know is available for preorder directly from 6131 Records ahead of its March 06 release date. Worriers will be on tour starting March 12 in Wilmington, DE at The Queen until April 05 in Toronto, Canada at Danforth Music Hall. Their complete tour routing can be located here

David Garrick has spent the last five years interviewing some of the most intriguing and engaging artists performing today. Everyone from Angel Olsen to Phoebe Bridgers, Wire to Yo La Tengo, Snail Mail to Soccer Mommy, Ghost to First Aid Kit, The Breeders to Protomartyr, and many more. He's a giant fan of music of pretty much any genre; but especially to the underdogs. He's been known to see more concerts in a week than many people will see in a year.
