L.A.’s Spanish Love Songs make the kind of catchy punk that’s harder than pop punk, but not hardcore either. With a new album Brave Faces Everyone set for release in February, and ahead of a support tour with The Wonder Years, they’ve released a new single “Kick” that should stick with you.
While the song is definitely catchy, there’s enough gruff here to signal that the band isn’t pop. The riffs and the vocals alone make it harder than a pop punk song. With a catchy pace and plenty of hooks, the five piece has no issue drawing your ears while keeping their wits about them. The song should signal more to come before the full length hits record stores in a month or so.
“Kick” is available to stream on all platforms and the video can be seen above or on YouTube. Brave Faces Everyone is available for preorder on multiple formats directly from Pure Noise Records ahead of its February 07 release. Spanish Love Songs will be on tour beginning January 25 in Hamburg, Germany at Gruenspan until March 21 in Philadelphia, PA at The Fillmore Philadelphia. The band’s entire tour schedule is available here.
