It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since Wild Nothing came into existence. The project from Jack Tatum has always illuminated and shown a solid electro-pop sound. Now with a series of tenth anniversary shows to mark their debut album Gemini, Wild Nothing have just dropped a new single “Foyer” from their upcoming E.P. Laughing Gas coming at the end of this month.
The song opens as it plays along. Various electronics and synths stir in the background before a riff comes in to signal the build as a piano dances in as well. When the beat drops you’re washed in electro-pop goodness. The song has a very eighties pop feel though it’s also very modern. The vocals have a touch to them that give a chill wave vibe, as the song’s alluring notes hold you ears.
“Foyer” is available to stream above or on all streaming sites. Laughing Gas is available to preorder directly from Captured Tracks before its January 31 release. Wild Nothing will be on tour starting May 13 at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY until May 22 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, Ca. The complete tour schedule is accessible here.
