James Elkington Announces New Album & Releases Lead Single

Chicago’s James Elkington has had no problem making his name well known. The singer songwriter hs been known to take the mechanics of folk music and apply them to his unique sound. British born and residing in the U.S., Elkington has such an intriguing sound he’s garnered a highly respectable fan base. With a new album Ever-Roving Eye coming in April, Elkington has just released the lead single for the album. With “Nowhere Time” you’ll wish there was more from the album you could take with you.

The song wastes no time in getting going. The segues of sound that dance between the guitar and the drums only get cut with the vocals. While all contain their own melody, the hook comes from the stride of the track. Arranged in a delicate balance, Elkington immediately has your attention. The video’s black & white depiction forces you to focus more on the music than dazzle in the clip. The music however, is what James Elkington does best. With this new song and his guitar abilities, he does so in a way that should marvel anyone who hears it.

The video can be viewed above or on YouTube. Ever-Roving Eye is available for preorder directly from Paradise of Bachelors before its April 03 release. James Elkington will be on tour starting April 16 at The Hideout in Chicago, IL until May 28 at Hope & Ruin in Brighton, UK. His complete tour schedule is located here.
