Last year we saw FOALS take leaps that few bands on major labels do. With the release of two albums, Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1 and Part 2 they went where few bands seem to go. Now with a co-headlining tour with Local Natives coming in a few months, they’ve just released a video for the song “Neptune” and it’s like nothing you’ve seen before.
With a cinematic blend of themes, the video feels more like a short film than a music video. Themes of earth, wind, fire and water play throughout while the music plays. The imagery is so well crafted that while the music will capture your ears, the video with elevate your senses. When you see members of the band, they’re among the water, the land or animals more like a set piece than just someone singing on cue. The elemental pieces coupled with the high end level of production will stay with you as much as the music here.
The video can be viewed above or on YouTube. Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 1 and Part 2 are both available individually or as a box set directly from Warner Records. They can also be streamed or downloaded. FOALS is on tour in North America beginning May 18 in Phoenix, AZ at The Van Buren until June 10 in Chicago, IL at The Aragon Ballroom. Their complete tour schedule can be accessed here.
