Anyone who hears the intense and dark sounds of Texas’ Portrayal of Guilt knows that the trio brings a new sort of weight to the music they play. Utilizing black metal with hardcore punk, the Austin three piece has just released a new split with Slow Fire Pistol, and the result is heavy to say the least.

With “The End of Man Will Bring Peace to This Earth,” the band goes heavy and they go hard. The vocals offer a glimpse into the more black metal side of the band while the hardcore touches that grace the murky notes of the song hit as hard as you’d expect. Portrayal of Guilt has never gone soft, but here the squeals of guitar that couple with the weighted vocals place them in a darker space.
The songs can be streamed on all platforms. They can be purchased in all digital outlets. A special seven inch version of the songs is available for preorder directly from Run For Cover Records. Portrayal of Guilt will be on tour starting March 06 at Red Dwarf in Houston, TX until April 19 in Tilburg, NL at Roadburn Festival. Their tour routing is available here.
