The Strokes Return to Rock on New Single

Last week when NYC group The Strokes dropped a new single, we were a bit off guard to hear that the single was synth lead. Though their past EP prepped us for that, their new single “Bad Decisions” from their upcoming full length The New Abnormal returns to rock.

Headed off with heavy guitar chords and snappy drums, the quick song returns to form of the earlier songs by the band. The traditional instrumentation that meets with Casablancas’ deadpan vocals offers a refreshed tone while heading in new directions. The video has this strange and antiquated feel to it like it comes from late seventies television.

The video is ready to watch above or on YouTube. The New Abnormal can be preordered directly from Cult Records. The Strokes will be on tour starting tonight at Roundhouse in London, UK until August 14 at Suvilahti in Helsinki, Finland. Their tour dates can be accessed here

Everyone from Angel Olsen to Phoebe Bridgers, Wire to Yo La Tengo, Snail Mail to Soccer Mommy, Ghost to First Aid Kit, The Breeders to Protomartyr, and many more. He's a giant fan of music of pretty much any genre; but especially to the underdogs. He's been known to see more concerts in a week than many people will see in a year.
