Arca Drops New 62 Minute Single

A couple of years ago I caught Arca in person, and I was blown away at her stage presence. When you see more concerts in a week than some people will see in a year, getting blown away becomes difficult to come by. However with Arca, the whole experience whether it be music or in concert, is an experience unto itself. Never one to do like anyone else, the artist has just dropped a new single “@@@@@” that clocks in like an album, and it’s on its own level in terms of production and experimentation.

The song has the Venezuelan artist covers a lot of ground here. Crisscrossed styles and genres, multiple techniques and experimental derivatives flow throughout. While the beat never leaves, the song jumps between forms, offering a multitude of tones and experiments for the listener. Arca doesn’t go easy here, the track is just rife full of new glitch and house notes before turning everything prior on its ear. There’s zero compromise in terms of expression both visually and audibly.

The single is ready to stream on all streaming platforms or to purchase in all digital outlets via XL Recordings. Arca will be on tour throughout North America beginning April 25 in New York, NY at Brooklyn Steel until May 15 in Los Angeles, CA at The Belasco. Her complete tour dates are available here and go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m.
