It really appears that Chicago’s Twin Peaks can’t stop and won’t stop. After releasing their latest full length Lookout Low and following it up with heavy bout of touring, the band still managed to drop more music. Now as they’re announcing their support dates with Car Seat Headrest, they’ve just unveiled a new video for the song “Unfamiliar Sun.”
The DIY aesthetic of the video immediately takes hold here. The way the band members stand in front of a white wall and have art projected on them has an endearing appeal. The fact that you can see the hand in the frame that’s changing the slides says it all. As the artwork becomes more vibrant and the band members get more involved, it all works. The song, one of the more chill on the album offers a tender and happy-go-lucky tone that’s hard to dislike.
The video can be viewed above or on YouTube. Lookout Low can be purchased directly from Grand Jury Music. It can also be purchased on all digital outlets or streamed through all services. Twin Peaks is on tour March 10 at Hi-Fi in Indianapolis, IN until July 18 at Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, IL. The band’s complete tour schedule is located here.
