Orville Peck Drops New Song After Signing to a New Label

Orville Peck ruled 2019 in multiple ways with his album Pony. With his shows getting bigger and bigger, it’s no wonder he recently inked a deal with large label Columbia Records. Now as part of the major label system, Peck has dropped a new single “Summertime” that keeps his core sound while he embarks on a larger scale.

With production levels a little better, Peck croons in his western style with ease. The track has plenty of highs while he belts out the song, while never steering into anything other than what he’s known for. The video features the artist walking through a field where the roots of a flower seek revenge after he rips it from the earth. Flanked by vines he keeps singing, clad in leather. After a banjo piece he reveals a floral suit that goes perfectly with the theme.

The video can be viewed above or on YouTube. The song can be streamed on all streaming sites or purchased in all digital outlets via Columbia Records. Orville Peck is scheduled to appear July 06 in Amsterdam, Netherlands at Ziggo Dome until September 24 through 27 at Bonnaroo. His complete tour dates can be accessed here. These dates are subject to change due to COVID-19.
