Iceage Releases New Single in Touch with Current Times

Copenhagen four piece Iceage have always marched to the beat of their own drummer. Over the years they’ve really upped their game when it comes to creating gritty songs. In the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak, the band has released a new single “Lockdown Blues.” Aside from the fact that it’s new music, the band is donating all of the sales of the song to help combat the virus.

The song has a more intense edge to it. Directly discussing the virus and the quarantine, the band has no problem looking into the pandemic’s face. With touches of blues rock, the track hits home in this unknown time. While the dual vocals at times add a nice touch. The lyric video shows shots from abandoned spaces, making it that much more relevant.

The lyric video for “Lockdown Blues” can be watched above or on YouTube. The single can be streamed on all platforms while purchase of the single from Bandcamp will see the proceeds going to Medecins Sans Frontieres
