From the first notes we heard by New Zealand’s The Beths, it’s safe to say that we were hooked. Their brand of catchy indie rock is so good that we ventured to catch them on multiple nights when they toured last. After the success of their last full length Future Me Hates Me, the four piece is back with a new album Jump Rope Gazers due in July. Proving they can still bring it, the band has shared the lead single “Dying To Believe” and we think it’s pure indie rock magic.
The song hits from the jump. The mix of vocals, snappy drums and fuzzy guitar hits all of your senses and check all of your boxes. There’s a bit better arrangements here, but the overall sound is what you love about the band. There’s a falsetto vocal here that’s pure perfection, uplifting the track to a higher plane. The video, laid out like an instructional video for musicians is comical and pairs perfectly with the song.
The song is ready to stream on all platforms. The video can be viewed above or on YouTube. Jump Rope Gazers is available to preorder on multiple formats directly from Carpark Records before its July 10 release. The Beths are scheduled to be on tour beginning November 08 at HBF Park in Perth, WA until November 27 at MT Smart Stadium in Auckland, NZ. Their complete tour routing is available here.
