The Beths Share Blistering New Single & Stop-Motion Video

While most of us sit and wait for what our world will look like during this pandemic, New Zealand’s The Beths are trucking forward with their upcoming album Jump Rope Gazers. Due in July, the album continues the band’s upward trend of catchy indie rock. On their new single “I’m Not Getting Excited” they tick things up and dial the amps to eleven. The song’s accompanying video is just as intriguing as the band tickles our ears while we wait for the new album.

With the distortion pedals clicked the song gets going and starts strong. The band has never shied from turning things up, but here there’s a ferocity mixed with the catchy hooks. The guitar and the vocals coming in hot, the snappy drums and bass come in and everything clicks into place. The song has all of the makings of The Beths’ sound while still holding fresh ideas while sticking in your head. The stop-motion video has all members social distancing in their respective spaces throughout.

The video is ready to watch on YouTube or above. The single is ready to stream on all streaming sites. Jump Rope Gazers is ready to be preorderedon multiple formats directly from Carpark Records ahead of its July 10 release.
