You don’t have to look far to see that we have all, in some ways or in many ways, been affected by COVID-19. While tours are on the back burner, it’s always shocking to hear that someone more famous than us has been touched by this pandemic. So when singer and guitarist Damian Kulash of the band OK Go revealed that he’d recovered from the virus, it was a bit of a shock. He even penned a heartfelt letter found here, discussing what he and his family went through. Now to celebrate those on the front lines helping others, the band has released a new single “All Together Now” and a video for the single as well. Download proceeds are to benefit the organization Partners In Health.
Each member in different homes performing via four screens shows where music is today. However, the video is one factor here. The song has a very catchy sound that really sticks with you as soon as you hear it. The upbeat tones that mix with the hand claps and vocal harmonies give way to a percussive sound that really warms you. The band is firing on all cylinders here, offering a new way to experience what we’re going through while being uplifting at the same time.
