Synthwave duo Collapsing Scenery have always put their own stamp on anything they release. Last year’s Stress Positions proved that the two piece definitely had their own sound. Now they’ve dropped two new remixes of their track “I Never Knew.” However this time the remixes are from Miho Hatori of Cibo Matto and Mike Kinsella and Jenny Pulse of Good Fuck. The results are two very different approaches to the same song.

The Miho Hatori version of the song contains plenty of deep dives into multiple electronica genres. The vocals stay the same but the approach is vast and far away from the original while giving your ears a sound that almost comes off like it was recorded under water. The Time Kinsella and Jenny Jenny Pulse version takes the song to a techno pop derivative. The way the song has more hooks while still holding its ground shows a more upbeat and dance pop tone.

The remixes can be streamed on all streaming sites. Stress Positions is available on a limited run colorway vinyl directly from Metropolitan Indian Records.
