For a long time, in fact since our inception, this magazine has championed Bandcamp. The platform that’s most friendly to artists is the home to more unique music than any other platform or outlet online. The site has long been a place for independent artists and outsiders to support one another while offering merchandise and physical copies alongside digital releases. This Friday the platform will once again waive their fees allowing artists to receive all of the monies from their sales. The platform has released a statement as well as a list of labels who have special items and who will be making donations to organizations in support of racial justice and change. The statement and list are below:

This Friday, June 5th, from midnight to midnight Pacific Time, we’re waiving our share of sales to support artists impacted by Covid-19. Below you’ll find a list of artists and labels preparing special releases for Friday, including those donating their share to organizations in support of racial justice and change.

Also, we want to remind everyone that on Friday, June 19th, we’ll be donating 100% of our share of sales to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund to support their work. More info here.
