The years of swaying sounds and passionate performances aren’t lost on an act like Perfume Genius. Behind his latest album Set My Heart On Fire Immediately, he swung by ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ to perform two songs. With Meg Duffy of Hand Habits on guitar, the artist revealed two captivating performances of “On the Floor” and “Jason” that will leave you mesmerized.

For the track “On the Floor” it’s obvious that the singer has missed performing. Dancing and being emotionally moved by the music, his energy is electric. Duffy and other band members sing backing vocals while bringing the catchy track to life. The way the song sounds live is as you’d expect, keeping the bop up with every rhythm change.

Sitting to sing the softer track “Jason,” the falsetto vocals hit hard even though the whole band is seated. The gravity of the vocals and the well arranged track is immediate and the beauty of the song comes through on the performance. The song has a weight to it already, yet this live set showcases it much more.
