Shy Boys Deliver Harmonic Magic on New Single

There are few bands you can hear across a busy intersection and walk over to see who they are. However the hypnotic vocal melodies of Kansas City’s Shy Boys will do that to a person, mainly myself. The five piece has made those vocals the hallmark of their sound while engaging everyone who stumbles upon them. On their latest single “Trash” the quintet delivers them again and they’re even better to embrace during these uncertain times.

The song is opened with a thumpy bass and those vocals. With electronic beats in the background, the vocals are the real instrument here, taking you away as you are reminded of Brian Wilson-like tones. The song has pop touches but isn’t a pop song. The song is about American consumerism and greed, and the tongue-in-cheek sunniness of the song lets you forget about that as you revel in the catchy tones.

“Trash” is ready to purchase in all digital music shops via Polyvinyl Records. It can also be streamed on all streaming platforms.

He's a giant fan of music of pretty much any genre; but especially to the underdogs. He's been known to see more concerts in a week than many people will see in a year.
