Since their first release, Nashville’s BULLY has proven that guitar driven music isn’t going anywhere. Between the hook laced riffs and enigmatic vocals of Alicia Bognanno, the band delivers plenty of heft even on their softest tracks. With a new album SUGAREGG coming in a couple of weeks, their new single “Hours and Hours” digs deep while still delivering their signature fuzzed sound.
The opening notes have a bit of an ominous tone that get lifted up by Bognanno’s earnest vocals. Met with dual vocals, the underlined tones get heightened when the distortion pedal is clicked and the vocals become harsher and more emotional. Those emotions ring out throughout the song, offering more edge and heft as the track plays out.
“Hours and Hours” is available to listen to above or on all streaming sites. SUGAREGG is ready to preorder on various formats and bundles directly from Sub Pop Records ahead of its August 21 release.
