Nashville’s Bully isn’t slowing down in the space around their upcoming full length SUGAREGG. With the album coming out next week, they’re revealed plenty of songs that cover a broad spectrum that opens up their alterna rock sound. On their latest drop “Prism” the snarl of the guitars rings throughout while the video is closer to a dream than a music video.
The song has a nice intensity to it. With a melodic fuzz tone that drives the track, the way the drums fall underneath the vocals keeps the words in your head. The verse has a nice build complete with backing vocals that add weight before the guitars tick up and the pedals are stepped on. The moderate stride of the song works well in how it’s arranged while the elemental notes all hit your ears in a balanced and catchy way without being a pop song. The video is made up of varying glimpses of light that pop as the song plays out.
