Ohmme Drops Two New Songs via Sub Pop Single Club

Chicago’s Ohmme definitely plays by their own rules. On the heels of their latest full length Fantasize Your Ghost, the duo has returned with two new songs from the Sub Pop Singles Club. Sticking to the long running series, both “Mine” and “Miasma” stand out while also flexing the sound that the two piece has cultivated over the years.

“Mine” has a very intense and snappy pacing. Working between an infectious bass line and a drum beat, the duo’s vocals come in together to help hook you on their sound. The indie rock intensity that blends with the group’s immense sound works well here, offering a sound that’s hard to beat.

With “Miasma” the two piece takes a more sixties tone in their approach. With singular vocals, the pull in comes slower before the dual vocals kick in. The slower stride offers a nice build of tones that’s intriguing and engaging without drawing you into a lull. In fact it’s a well structured song that should draw your attention enough to never let go.

Both songs are available to stream above or wherever you stream music. You can join the Sub Pop Singles Club here or purchase the tracks digitally directly from Sub Pop Records. Ohmme is scheduled to return to touring beginning January 09 at The Record Bar in Kansas City, MO until May 22 at Rex Theater in Pittsburgh, PA. Their complete tour schedule is accessible here.
