Sharon Van Etten Unwraps Wondrous New Single

Last year when Sharon Van Etten released Remind Me Tomorrow she dedicated enough time to the album to offer a full range on sounds. While her overall tone is diverse in its own right, she mixes things up again with a new single “Let Go.” Taken from the soundtrack to the film Feels Good Man, Van Etten still sounds like herself while taking further steps to try new things.

The keys work well within their arpeggiated tone. With her vocals reaching a more brawny status here, the sway between the instrumentation and her voice offers Van Etten in a new light without steering from what she’s known for. Almost singing out for approval, the song hits hard in its intertwines tones of delicacy and immense hook filled notes. The arrangements here alone are noteworthy as you’re pulled in by the vocal prowess Van Etten delivers.

The single can be heard above or wherever you stream music. It’s also available to purchase digitally in all digital music retailers via Jagjaguwar Records. Sharon Van Etten will return to touring beginning July 08 at Ottawa Blues Fest in Ottawa, ON until September 26 in Dana Point, Ca at Ohana Festival. Her tour schedule is available here.
