In many ways, Tucson’s Calexico isn’t as active as they used to be. While that can be difficult for their fans to wrestle with, it also means that more time between albums shows how good those releases can be. After just announcing a new holiday album titled Seasonal Shift due in December, the duo has revealed a new single “Hear The Bells.”

The song has that familiar Calexico ring to it. While there are markers of a holiday track, it’s not as seasonally tinged as you may think. The dual vocals make for a nice touch as the arrangements showcase the strengths of the band. There’s a grand measure in how it plays out while the music takes you in and doesn’t let go.

The lyric video can be viewed above. The song can also be streamed on all platforms. Seasonal Shift ca be preordered on multiple formats from Anti Records before its December 04 release. Calexico will performing June 23 in Morrison, CO at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and on September 22 in Boise, ID at Treefort Music Fest.
