The current divisive nature of politics requires many to need an escape from it all. In the middle of the US election’s uncertainty, Phoebe Bridgers stopped off the other night at Late Night with Seth Meyers. In her rousing performance of “I Know The End” she delivers the kind of enchanting and emotional performance to echo how so many are feeling right now.

Opening with Bridgers amid a red light, her vocals dance as she sits upon a piano. Moving throughout a softly lit room, the beauty of the track rings out. Making her way out into the backstage area of a theater, the song plays out this way in a magical timbre. When she lifts up on to the stage in front of the empty space, the performance feels personal and relatable. Closing out jumping around as her band plays on a screen behind her, the performance feels like a letter to us all.
