It seems like the pandemic isn’t slowing down the output by Bob Mould. After releasing a box set earlier this year, then revealing his new full length Blue Hearts, Mould is ready to offer up more music to his longtime fans with a second box set. Distortion: 1996-2007 has a myriad of works that should excite fans old and new while delivering music that’s hard to stream nowadays as well.

The remastered albums all have that traditional Bob Mould sound. Included with a twenty eight page booklet featuring contributions from artists like Ben Gibbard and Bethany Cosentino, there’s more than enough here to excite anyone familiar with Mould’s big guitar sound. New album artwork that includes 140 gram vinyl pressings of solo works and a rarities vinyl as well.

Distortion: 1996-2007 is ready to preorder on vinyl or on compact disc directly ahead of its release on January 22 from Demon Music Group. Blue Hearts is available as well for purchase directly from Merge Records.
