Some of the most eclectic and intriguing music of the year has come from Rituals of Mine. With their new album HYPE NOSTALGIA, the producer mixes R&B with dark electronica to fuse a sound like pretty much no one else. Now with the album out and the year starting to seal up they’ve released a new video for the track “65th St” and you need to experience it for yourself.
The song is a slow build. Letting the music work its magic before the vocals slowly roll in. The sway of the synths and the beat blend well with the vocals. The video of Terra Lopez in the neighborhood she grew up in displays the normalcy of the mundane as she sifts through various spaces within the neighborhood. This works perfectly with the spaces between the notes as her vocals feel more personal than most from the album.
The video is ready to stream above. HYPE NOSTALGIA is available to stream on all streaming platforms or to purchase in all digital outlets. It can also be purchased physically directly from Carpark Records.
