Toronto’s U.S. Girls have definitely crafted a world of experimental pop that falls across multiple lines. While their full length Heavy Light from March of this year was full of surprises, their new holiday based single “Santa Stay Home” featuring Rich Morel showcases a clean tone that stays with you as soon as it begins.

The way the vocals begin the song immediately pulls you in. Between the keys and bells these hand clapped beats roll in and jump start the song into swing. The pop textures help move the upbeat song along without taking away from it’s boppy tones. The lyric video is flanked with old footage of Christmas specials and what not only visually sparkling as much as the song itself.
