Musically The Drums have always had an open ended delivery in what their music is. Now going by THE DRUMS & Jonny Pierce, the group hasn’t changed much yet they’ve also changed quite a bit. With his final single of the year “Ambulance” dropping today, the group delivers sparkly tones and a catchy set of hooks that will grab your ears.

The song has the vocals at the front of the track, meeting these sprinkled notes. The way they play together offers a soft tone without really being too soft. When the beat comes in it holds these ethereal sounds that pull you in as Pierce sings like he’s singing directly to you. His falsetto rings out and offers a balance to the deep groove of the track. The video featuring Pierce singing to the camera feels about right for the slower stride of the song. As an added bonus, remixes for the track are included below. “Ambulance” (meat Computer Remix) and “Ambulance” (Brevin Kim Remix) offer up completely different takes for the song.
