It’s been a minute since we heard new songs from Nashville’s Kings Of Leon. While they began teasing new music around the holidays, the wait is over and their new album When You See Yourself will be made available in March. To mark the occasion the band has released two new singles “The Bandit” and “100,000 People” for your listening pleasure.
“The Bandit” picks up where the band left off. Melodic a heart racing rock tones, snappy drums and flowing bass lines move the track along. The guitars harmonize well together before the build that they create takes off with all of the weight you’d expect. The song feels like the band on reboot, recapturing some of the energy that helped catapult them to the heights they achieved before their time away.
“100,000 People” has a more altered direction. Softer and more intimate in its approach, the mix of keys and guitars hone in on the quieted ways in which the band grew their sound. Keep in mind that this feels like Kings of Leon, just with a renewed approach in how their songs get created. The introspective sound rings out and shows a different side to the band without ruining your image of them.
Both songs can be heard above or on all streaming platforms. When You See Yourself is available now for preorder on various formats from RCA Records before it drops on March 05.
