Danish indie rockers YUNG certainly have the world’s ears right now. With a new album coming out titled Ongoing Dispute, the band has logged plenty of click worthy articles about their refreshing sound. Between jangled chords and rhythmic tones, their latest single “Friends On Ice” should have you singing their praises as well.

The strummed notes that open things up get met with snappy drums and a muddled bass line. The vocals have a nice ring to them, sounding a bit like Ought. The backing vocals add weight as the song sways like notes in the moving air. As things build and the chorus comes in, the song explodes with melodic notes that create a larger sound. The effect of this lends itself to an almost harmonic delivery that stays with you long after you hear the guitar driven song.

The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music. Ongoing Dispute is available for preorder directly from PNKSLM Recordings before its January 22 release.
