Cleveland’s Cloud Nothings has always made the kind of indie rock you could get into from its start. With a more straightforward approach on their new Steve Albini produced album The Shadow I Remember coming in a few weeks, that’s really been true. To stay in line with the remarkable songs they’ve already dropped their latest single “Nothing Without You” should fall perfectly on your ears as well. To sweeten the deal the band has also released a video game you can play too.

The tight way in which the song begins is remarkably catchy. The vocals stay with the snappy drums and happy go lucky guitars in unison while the backing vocals and falsetto pipes just keep things upbeat. The rock here is straight ahead without blustering as hooks come and go and keep the song on pace. It’s the boost you can use in these unceratin times.

The Shadow I Remember can be preordered on various formats directly from Carpark Records ahead of its February 26 street date. Cloud Nothings are set to appear at The Grog Shop in Cleveland, OH on February 27.
