Introduce Yourself to the Driving Sounds of Skegss

In a very short time, Australian trio Skegss have captured the globe’s ear. With a traditional rock sound with touches of garage rock underneath, it’s no wonder that they could be the next big import. Their new album Rehearsal will be made available in March, their sound is infectious and their latest single “Valhalla” will get you amped from its start.

While the video is beautiful in its presentation, the music is the focus here. The band’s ability to go for the jugular and deliver a straight garage rock tinged sound works from the opening notes. The driving guitars against the snappy drums and the thumpy bass blend well with the vocals in a way we don’t get to hear much anymore. In a time where rock isn’t as common, the band delivers all you want into a catchy package while still offering straight ahead guitar tones with a touch of garage thrown in.

The video is available to stream above or on YouTube. “Valhalla” can be streamed on all streaming services. Rehearsal can be preordered directly from Loma Vista Recordings ahead of its March 26 street date.
