Dry Cleaning Reveal New Song and Debut Album Details

Before they landed on 4AD Records, London’s Dry Cleaning were one of the most sought after groups in music today. Their stark style mixed with post punk leanings lends itself to a sound that cuts its own path in a sea of post punk bands who are tracing from the same place. Now after revealing some epic new songs they’re back with their debut album New Long Leg announced for release in April and a new single “Strong Feelings.” Below, the video for the song that will unleash their strengths to you while letting you in on what the full length may be.

The song has the demeanor that the band has become known for. With the vocals at the top of the mix and the instruments a bit separated, the open air between notes represents a striking tone. The guitar that swells underneath, the drums that pop while the bass finds its way into the mix creates a distinct sound that is no one else’s. That’s the pull here. In a world where post punk as a genre is gaining traction, Dry Cleaning honors it by standing out from everyone else.

The video is available to watch above. The song can be heard wherever you stream music. New Long Leg is available for preorder directly from 4AD Records ahead of its April 02 release. Dry Cleaning is scheduled to be on tour starting March 19 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK at The Cluny until November 03 in Reykjavik, Iceland at Iceland Airwaves. Their complete tour schedule can be accessed here.
