2021 is proving to be a year so far filled with surprises. While we’ve already received more than enough new music, one of the largest surprises has been the new music coming from Cherry Glazerr. Following up the searing tones of the last album Stuffed & Ready, these new songs have shown a new sound from the band. With their new single “Big Bang” that newer sound comes through and delivers a sound you can get behind.
The song opens with guitar notes and drums that meet the vocals and a gurgled bass. With the dual vocals, the song opens when singer Clementine Creevy sings out into the world. Returning to the opening structure of the song, when she belts out this time the strength of the notes explode into a bombastic parade of sounds. This structure works well here while returning the band closer to their rock leanings. The sound is hard to deny while still treading a path into a new space.
“Big Bang” can be heard above or on all streaming sites. The song is also available digitally from all online music outlets via Secretly Canadian.
