Over the weekend Manchester Orchestra rewarded their fans with a concert film. Not to be outdone by what other artists have done, the band performed at Echo Mountain Studios their album A Black Mile To The Surface in its entirety. The same space where the album was recorded, the film is an event worth viewing for long time or casual fans of the band.
Of the song on the film, our favorite came with the ive version of “The Wolf.” While all of the album sounds stellar here, it’s obvious that the band set out to make the film something special. As an added bonus, it appears that the band is releasing a new album in April with the first single coming on February 18. The single could be titled “Bed Head” and the album appears to be titled The Million Masks of God.
The film can be viewed above or on YouTube. A Black Mile To The Surface is available on all streaming platforms and digital outlets. It can also be purchased from Loma Vista Recordings. Stay tuned for what’s next on February 18.
