Singer songwriter Lydia Luce has more than enough power in her voice to not point out the power of her music. With a new album Dark River coming out tomorrow, her latest single “Never Been Good” shows off those powers. Well crafted and full of emotional weight, the song and its accompanying video place the song well into your head while delivering a sound that’s warm and inviting.

The song has plenty of twang underneath is fast pacing. The vocals roll in and grab your ears almost from the jump. The softer side of Luce’s voice seeps into your senses as she pulls you in with catchy hooks. Evoking a new sound in ways, there’s a lot here to take with you with vocals as the lead point.
