Fans of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones should rejoice after the band dropped a new song a month back. While that new song was joyous and stood a bit away from the ska core sound, the band has announced a new album titled When God Was Great coming in May. If that weren’t enough for you, then they’ve also released a new single “I Don’t Believe In Anything” that brings their big sound back in a big way.
The song has a bit more of an edge to it. The horns come in at the right time to meet the fuzzy guitar before the vocals Start up and things get going. Straying a bit from ska and heading more towards their ska punk infusion, the song is definitely a return to form. The group vocals add to the weight of the song as the brass keep things melodic against the hooks of the guitar. This is the return fans of the band have wanted for a while.
The song can be heard above or wherever you stream music. When God Was Great is available to preorder from Hellcat Records before its May 07 release on various formats and bundles.
