beabadoobee Shares New Song From Newly Announced EP

Last year the world fell for the catchy indie rock sounds of London’s beabadoobee on her album Fake It Flowers. After already making a nem for herself as an independent artist, the album proved she could up her game and deliver catchy songs with pop hooks with ease. Now in 2021 she’s released a catchy new single “Last Day On Earth” that was written and created with Matt Healy and George Daniel of The 1975. The song is the lead single of an upcoming EP Our Extended Play due some time in the Spring.

The video in some ways plays out like a night in the life of the artist. However as entertaining as the video showing the lives of others is, or how the youth spend their free time today, the music is the focus here. The song has a more pop infused sound where the guitar and the drums help drive the sound. The vocals are more freeing and offer up a fun feel to them. There’s still touches of indie rock tones here, yet the song has more pop than previous releases. However that just makes it more upbeat and easier to get into. The backing vocals help move the song along as well and feed into the happy go lucky sound.

The video is ready to watch above. The song can be heard on all streaming sites or purchased in all digital outlets via Dirty Hit Records. beabadoobee is set to begin touring on July 08 at Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, Spain until October 04 at SWG3 in Glasgow, UK. Her complete tour schedule can be found here.
