In terms of modern hip hop, few artists have the swag that Freddie Gibbs has. Gibbs has been dropping rhymes for a good while, yet his recent successes have shone a light on his decisive mic skills. Following his recent Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album, Gibbs has dropped a new song “Big Boss Rabbit” that signals his flexing ability while the accompanying video is a nod to a video from his past.
The video is a nod at the video for is track “Gang Signs.” Opening with a sample of Mike Tyson, the track wastes no time in getting going. Gibbs hits the mic hard from the jump. The rhymes offer up notes that display his success while flexing throughout. His rhymes come in at a rapid fire pace as the track bumps and pops. Gibbs has a swagger in his presentation, the beats are fire and there’s more than enough reason for his words to showcase his prowess on a mic.
