There’s a good chance that you may not be familiar with the music of Long Beach’s Pageants. The two members made up of a real life couple make the kind of sunny pop that trickles into your ears and never leaves. Though the duo have been together for a decade, their music extends beyond any time frame. With a new album Sun and Settled Days announced for release in July, their new single “It Might Be Crazy” should beam itself into your conscious and stick around a while.

The song has a very upbeat and sunny disposition. The gentle vocals dance along with the gritty guitar and the well arranged instrumentation. The softer yet catchy sound is immediate as the track sways along with a jangled pace. The pop touches keep the song in your head while the video delivers plenty of flowery imagery to match the song. It’s indie pop that goes beyond the genre while gracing bedroom pop and indie rock with grace.
