Last year after Chicago’s Spun Out released their debut album Touch The Sound they set a precedent for well crafted sounds to be part of their repertoire. Now they’re back with a follow-up single “Silver Shine (feat. Mykele Deville).” The first in three collaborative singles they’ll drop this Summer, the song is a sweeping sound that mixes genres and smoothness with ease.

The song opens with an almost yacht rock sound. Mixing R&B with smooth tones, the track eases into getting going. However once the rhymes start flowing it’s obvious that the song works perfectly with the lyrical poetry of Deville’s words. The intermingle between the relaxed sounds of the music and Deville’s parts takes the music to a new place. The way the music holds elements of funk and indie pop while the vocals exhibit these falsetto tones creates a sound that slaps from the jump. The video featuring a man driving a bus through the city before experiencing a new world offers the perfect visual for the music.
