New Soccer Mommy Song From Dark Nights: Death Metal is Golden

Nashville’s Soccer Mommy is gearing up for a long-awaited tour to support their newest album Color Theory. While we’ve heard everything from demos to remixes from the album, it seems that the band can’t slow down when it comes to dropping new music. Their latest single is from the newly released soundtrack Dark Nights: Death Metal and “Kissing In The Rain” offers up a sound that you can’t help but fall for.

The song opens with a harmonic guitar sound that meets the drums and Sophie Allison’s tender vocals. As notes sprinkle in the track starts to build and fills your speakers with sound. When the song opens up it blossoms with emotions and a full tone that you can’t shake. The instrumentation here is key, adding to the melody with plenty of hooks that capture your ears. The arrangements keep new touches of instrumentation filling things up, but the vocals are the draw here. There’s a balance between softness and indie rock here that works perfectly to grow the sound without stripping anything away.

“Kissing In The Rain” can be heard above or wherever you stream music. Dark Nights: Death Metal and Color Theory are available to purchase from Loma Vista Recordings. A deluxe binder edition of Color Theory with flexi demos can be purchased here. Soccer Mommy is on tour beginning September 15 in Atlanta, GA at Variety Playhouse until November 09 in St. Louis, MO at Delmar Hall. Her complete tour dates can be accessed here
