Billie Eillish Delivers New Relaxed & at Times Chill New Album

As far as new artists go, it seems that Billie Eilish can do no wrong. Along with her brother Finneas she’s had a rough go of life like the rest of us stuck within this pandemic. Of course hopefully we’re past all of that because Eilish is. With her new album Happier Than Ever she proves that she can move on no matter what and keep her wits about her throughout it all.

The opener “Getting Older” makes you think that Eilish is doing just that. How she handles certain things is defined by her actions and those certainly have changed. Following things up with “I Didn’t Change My Number,” you realize that she’s up for change cause’ the song is definitively different. However in its chill and relaxed stride, it doesn’t move the needle much. The same can be said of the track after that “Billie Bossa Nova.” It’s just as chill and relaxed without much pop driving tones to get you up and moving, But there are standouts here starting with “my future.” The song is just as chill but it feels like she has something to say. “Lost Cause” bring some oomph to the table as does the track “Your Power.” However we see Eilish getting there on different terms and ways. Utilizing her vocals on “Your Power” definitely helps. Our favorite track of the sixteen comes on “NDA” where the singer songwriter adds some power behind the narrative. The hook here is also impossible to hear and not want to get down. While the album is a mixed bag of great beats and chill tones, it’s definitely the Billie Eilish we’re happy to be down with.

Happier Than Ever is available to purchase directly from her web store here. It can also be streamed on all streaming sites or purchased in all digital outlets via Interscope Records. Billie Eilish is on tour starting September 18 at iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, NV until July 02, 2022 at Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland. Her complete tour dates can be accessed here.
