In the grand spectrum of those who create music that’s hard to place a finger on, few do so as well as Ela Minus. While her latest album acts of rebellion is out and a trip to hear, her latest remix of “close (ft. Helado Negro)” is a burn down a trippy scale. Taking his vocals and working them in with her own is one thing. However doing them while also remixing the song is a trip you have to hear for yourself.

The swirling of the hypnotics washes over you quickly and heavily. The movement is minimalistic until it isn’t. Minus is smart in how she keeps things all to herself before she brings in Helado Negro to get the words out. His sway and tagger that mixes with hers creates an ultra chill tone. The stalemate between the two crafts a sound that falls between dark rising and dark chilled. There’s a lot happening here without deterring you from the music itself which hits exactly like you’d want it to.
