On September 10th the new album HEY WHAT by LOW will be made available. Much like most of the album, the songs on it make up a shadowed governance where many times less is more. While the new song “More” has plenty of mixers thrown in, it also has an intense sound that goes further than many tracks that came before it. If you think we’re wrong however, feel free to head here & hear it for yourself.
Opening with blurred instruments playing, already it feels like a barn burner. The vocals that follow it up offer a sound that’s it’s own. Those distortions bleeds into the track itself and offer it up as an inclusive sound. The Minnesota duo has taken their sound to new spaces over the years, however this sound is extraordinary. Mixing blurs of tones together while the vocals are just a step or two ahead of the rest of the track.
The song can be heard on all streaming platforms. The album HEY What is available for preorder directly from Sub Pop Records here. Low will be on tour beginning September 10 at Square Lake Film & Music Festival in Stilwater, MN until May 14 in Zurich, Switzerland for Mascotte. Their tour dates can be accessed here.
