In many ways it seems difficult to believe that The Psychedelic Furs can do really anything on the down low anymore. The band has become known for so much including their latest album Made of Rain. Now just a bit of time after that album was revealed they’ve gotten together to stream a new single “Evergreen.” While the song is perfect in how it plays out, it literally reminds you that they’ll be on tour in your city soon, and that you need to grab tickets to see them ASAP.

Opening far and away differently from how you may expect it to begin, the song is a bit slower than you may expect. The vocals are doubled but in a good way. The way the song hits with the vocals and the haze of instrumentation falls underneath is beautiful. While the song hits perfectly, the mix of the two makes for an intriguing sound by the band, There’s no issue with how the band sparsely attends and hits their own way. The magic in their overall sound is what works so well and lets you dig back in to what they did so long ago. In many ways its as if that time hasn’t sloped away, but gotten stronger with them.
