In multiple ways an artist like Marcus Atom could have some issues coming down the pipe for him. With a new solo album titled Love Vs. War out on September 24, his new single delves deep into relationships. While his new album is also a solo debut, his latest track “Son Of A Bad Man” digs deep and doesn’t let up from start to finish.
The song should be known gets going and doesn’t let up. His style has a real group feel while he himself stays within the pockets of R&B. His style is more towards the guise of artists who careen to a sound that he controls. His vocals are on point, the song has a real stomp feel to it and he keeps himself on point throughout. The song has these little nods here and there that take it to a different place. The track also takes the originality of his vocals to a higher plane. The solo thrown in with brass is stylish and sexy as are his fills in-between. In the end you’re left with a sound that hits and hits hard, just like you want.
The song can be heard directly on all streaming platforms or above. You can also hear his session at Audiotree.com. His new album Love Vs. War drops on September 24.
